Here's the second part of my affordable skincare series where I'll list down a few drugstore and affordable face toners. It took me a while to remember the toners I have used in the past and curate all of them in one post. Toner itself is an important step in my skincare regime. Not only does it make my skin feels a lot cleaner, a proper toner may work wonders by controlling sebum production, helps reduce redness and blemishes as well as keep the skin hydrated.

I've been feeling scared a lot lately. The fear of failure, of being left behind, of the world. I'm scared of public transportation, of eye contacts, of paying groceries and other people queuing behind me. I know it makes no sense and it sounds stupid but I want to write about it either way. I guess, in some ways, I'm willing to treat this like a therapy I never got to experience in real life, with a shrink. Similarly, to remind myself that despite what people say, my fear is real.

15. Your Fear Is Real

Look who's back, the monthly favorites column! I've decided to continue doing this as long as I have favorites to talk about. Besides, I personally love reading blogs and watching videos regarding monthly favorites so why not preserve this series, right. As for this month's list of favorites, it will mostly revolve around music, tv series and books.

Back at it again with another project empties post! I may not be a beauty blogger but I do love collecting empty products and write mini reviews about them. Plus, it's what I call "utilizing every drop of my penny" so nothing goes to waste, unless the product breaks me out terribly. Besides, I also need to clear some space. Anyway, enough chit chat and let's dive in!

There's something about coffee shops that makes me love just spending hours and hours there. I'm not sure what that is but I'm sure a lot of you understand what I'm saying. It's the same thing with cafes, especially when they have this contemporary minimalist vibe. Not only do they serve as good working spaces, they happen to be one of my favorite dating spots in general!

Based on the title, I think it's obvious what this post is all about. But just in case you haven't picked the pieces up, this post will be all about body image. My body image issues which is something I've been struggling with for years. As I'm typing this post, I'm still facing the same problem although not as intense as it used to be.

14. I Need To Be Thinner

If you're new to my blog, chances are you have no idea what course I took in college, what my major was or any of those things. Quick heads up, I graduated from design school, majoring in Interactive Digital Media which isn't entirely graphics design but isn't completely different either — which I'll explain later. As such, I have a few suggestions (or tips and tricks, if you must) on what to expect or how to handle things like assignments and deadlines when you're currently enrolled in or are thinking about pursuing arts and design in college.

College 101: How To Survive Design School

If you follow me on twitter, you probably knew about how I've been binge-reading lately. Binge-reading? That's good, isn't it? Yes, of course. The thing is, I haven't been reading a lot for years; the last time I activated my bookworm mode was, what...3-4 years ago? I was a quick and focused reader when I was still in high school. Fast forward to college, I haven't been able to do that. This year, I'm willing to change that and make reading as part of my daily routine. I, too, have several tips on how to stay focused when it comes to doing it.

How I (Try To) Read More

I generally don't write this kind of post, at least not anymore. Beauty related posts aren't my specialty and there are tons of these out there so mine probably won't make any significance. Then again, let's make an exception and allow me to act like one of your cliche lifestyle bloggers by sharing with you some of my favorite and affordable skincare products, starting with cleansers first.

A couple days ago I received an email from a media convergence offering me the chance to collaborate. A year ago I received an email asking me if I'd like to monetize my blog by placing ads banner on my blog. To say I was surprise is an understatement because I never thought I'd receive such offers. I mean, my blog isn't that awesome, you know? I end up abandoning the offer for placing ads on my blog. And allow me to explain why.

13. Thoughts On Ads

Elizabeth Comstock from Bioshock Infinite (aka one of the best games I have ever played)
For someone whose specialty or focus is dedicated to illustration design, I sure always seem to stumble on amazing illustrators online. I personally am not very good at illustration even though I can draw more than just a stickman figure but don't tell me to do some digital painting because I can't. still, I love discovering amazing artists online, especially one that does digital painting with mad, god-like skills!

I missed a month of weekend highlight post because I'm lazy like that, ha! Then again, if there's nothing interesting, I wouldn't write this post down. For this week, I have certain things to recap so let's go.

Check Ins 006 | Catching Up

I'm not one who writes book reviews often because I personally think other people deliver it better than I do. Still, I want to write a review for this book because I love it so much. I even finished this book in 3 days, guys. THREE DAYS. When was the last time I finished a book that fast? Years ago. It's a nice accomplished feeling to finally feel that spark again. Long story short, let's do this.

Linger by Maggie Stiefvater

If you can keep up with the Kardashians then you wouldn't have problems keeping up with the latest design trend that's going to be part of 2017's Big League. Right, I just made that up but I'd like to think I delivered a good opening for this post. Regardless, the first moodboard of this month will feature all things duotones.

Books are expensive and reading takes a lot of time so when I found myself spending my money on disappointing books or series, I can't help but to regret it big time and wish I can sell them. Likewise, I also used to read a lot of young adult series but I've stopped since 2012. Why, it's because most YA series tend to be redundancy with disappointing plot or character development. Still, if I were to pick the worst series or books I extremely regret purchasing, these are the books that made it to the list.

Disappointing Young Adult Series

One annoying thing that bothers me is when someone came up to me and ask, "so you're into makeup now? Did you get yourself a boyfriend / crush?" For the record, yes I am in a relationship but that has nothing to do with me wanting to look presentable. I chose to look presentable because I want to, because it makes me happy and feel a boost of confidence. I'm doing it for myself and not for other people or my boyfriend, even.

12. I Do It For Myself

I decided to delete all previous monthly favorite posts (which was entitled "what I've been loving") and rewrite the series from scratch. I don't know if this is going to be a staple series or not but we'll see. In the mean time, here are a few cool things from last month.

2017 | February Favorites

I want to blog but at the same time, I'm not in the mood to write down a lengthy post. why, you ask? well, fellas... it's because my family and I are currently struggling and things are looking very ugly for all of us. so yes, I end up creating a playlist, mixtape or whatever you wanna call this instead.
