I am a packaging hoarder. I find it difficult to throw away empty bottles when they're designed oh so amazingly and lately, it seems to me that more and more brands are leaning towards minimalist design in terms of their product packaging. I'm not saying all brands do that but most certainly do because minimalism is this trendy thing that people seem to be discussing lately. Of course this is all a subjective speculation from yours truly so don't take it too seriously.


So, like I said earlier, I'm a packaging hoarder. I have a shelf filled with products and sometimes, you'll find me keeping empty bottles because I don't want to get rid of them yet. Other times I'd utilize the empty packaging for something else — e.g. hand soap or body wash because sometimes, buying certain products as a refill is a lot cheaper as opposed to buying a full sized, bottled one. Am I the only one? Please tell me I'm not.

My obsession with minimalist packaging design is also one of the very many reasons why sometimes I feel like trying out a new product. It definitely is a marketing technique to lure you in and I know, I know, in the end what matters is the product itself but hey, can you deny a good looking packaging from the corner of your eyes? I know I can't.

Below are a few product packaging design that I fall in love with and if I were to own them, you bet I will hoard and find a way to reuse them (if possible). Beauty brands like Herbivore Botanicals, Glossier and Milk Makeup are the kind of brands whose packaging I fall in love with even though I cannot afford them yet.
