Andrew Mcmahon In The Wilderness

I've been listening to Andrew Mcmahon's self-entitled album, Andrew Mcmahon In The Wilderness, recently. Andrew McMahon is quickly becoming one of my favorite solo singer-songwriters. He is (or was) also the man behind Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate.

Cecilia and The Satellite was released as the album's lead single with Mcmahon's daughter, Cecilia Kate, as the song's title reference. After his EP which was released last year (with Synesthesia as my favorite jam - it still is and forever will be), I really enjoyed his first studio album.

Canyon Moon is definitely my favorite and most played song.

I'm definitely a sucker for songs with titles and lyrics like....this. I don't even know how to describe them; there's just that emotional connection pulling me into it. Hah, how poetic.

Now what is that one song you have been looping a lot recently?

  1. I just listened to these and like Canyon Moon better! I usually don't have good music to listen to because my favorite artists Red, Sixx AM, and Dead By April don't often release music. I've just been looping game music these days, and post them onto my blog's music section (it's at the bottom if you scroll a little). I also listen to piano covers of K-pop songs. They sound better than the original songs themselves, and you can always count on K-pop for constant releases. -_-

  2. It's awesome when you find a song that you really like. I don't listen to music as much as I used to, so there isn't really anything at the moment. :(

  3. Cecilia and the Satellite reminds me of something that would be played in those Hollister stores! I like how calm the song is without being too awkwardly emotional. It's a ~free-feeling~ song :D. The same goes for Canyon Moon too! Maybe the music video helps with that calm mood feeling too- unless I have a weird sense in emotions too, haha.

I don't really have a song on loop right now, but I have a playlist full of songs on loop. What I do admire from YouTube for the past few weeks is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snw293864w0
